While going through a series of old film negatives, the Kufiya team stumbled upon an image featuring a traditional black and white Kufiya. In this negative strip, what was originally white appeared black, and what was black appeared white. This encounter with the inverted colors sparked their imagination, inspiring the creation of an inverted Keffiyeh design. Combining craftsmanship and creative vision, the team brought to life a remarkable Kufiya with a black body and a striking white pattern. Today, the inverted black and white Keffiyeh, proudly crafted in Palestine by the last and only Kufiya factory, embodies the essence of Palestinian identity. It offers a distinctive and captivating variation of the traditional Kufiya, infusing a sense of novelty and visual intrigue.

The Keffiyeh (pronounced “Kufiya” in Palestine) continues to hold deep and symbolic value, and serves as an icon of resistance, struggle and freedom for the Palestinian people.
The Keffiyeh is handmade using a classic cross-stitching technique honed over generations. The Keffiyeh is traditionally woven on two layers, the “base”, and the “pattern” or “flower” ( وردة) in Arabic. Beyond its unmatched quality, the Keffiyeh maintains its original functionality:
