Home of the Nasraya (النَّاصِرَة)

Nazareth, the largest Palestinian Arab city in occupied Palestine, holds a special place as one of the holiest Christian cities in the world, famously known as the childhood home of Jesus. Although the 1947 UN Partition Plan designated Nazareth as part of the Palestinian Arab state, it was captured by Israeli forces in 1948.
Annexed by a foreign military, the people of Nazareth endured the hardships of refugee displacement, land expropriation, and the imposition of martial law, which included curfews and travel restrictions. In response, Nazareth became a stronghold of Palestinian nationalism, a spirit that continues to shape the city's political landscape today.
